My little one learns faster when it feels like play. So I made a small game for Kids Corner: Arham’s Dua Match. Your child flips two cards and tries to match a daily moment, like eating or sleeping, with the words a Muslim says at that time.
It works on phone and computer, needs no sign-up, and has no ads inside the game. Sit next to your child the first few times and read the cards out loud.
Play Arham’s Dua Match
Flip two cards. Match each moment with the words a Muslim says!
How to Play
- Tap any card to flip it. Then tap a second card.
- A pair is one moment card (with a picture) and its matching words card (with a speech bubble).
- If they match, they stay open and turn green. If not, they flip back.
- Match all 8 pairs. Try to finish in fewer moves next time.
What Your Child Learns
These are short words from the Sunnah that kids can say many times a day. When the game says “Masha Allah!”, pause and ask your child to say the words with you. That small repeat is where the memory sticks.
| Moment | What we say | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Before eating | Bismillah | Sahih al-Bukhari 5376 |
| After eating | Alhamdulillah | Sahih Muslim 2734 |
| Meeting a Muslim | Assalamu alaikum | Sahih Muslim 54 |
| Someone sneezes and says Alhamdulillah | Yarhamuk-Allah | Sahih al-Bukhari 6224 |
| Someone helps you | JazakAllahu khairan | Jami at-Tirmidhi 2035 |
| Before sleeping | Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya | Sahih al-Bukhari 6324 |
| Talking about tomorrow | In sha Allah | Quran 18:23-24 |
| Feeling angry | A’udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajeem | Sahih al-Bukhari 6115 |
Tips for Parents
- Ages 3 to 5: play together. Read every card and let your child choose.
- Ages 6 to 9: let them play alone, then ask them to say each dua from memory.
- Use it in real life: at dinner, ask “Which card is this?” before the first bite.
- Keep it short: one or two rounds is enough. Stop while it is still fun.
The anger card links to a bigger topic. If your child struggles with big feelings, read my guide on Islamic anger management for kids. For bedtime, try these Islamic bedtime stories, and for daily habits see good manners for kids. More ideas are on the Kids Corner page.
